**Overview**
Gracenote Global Video Data is a comprehensive collection of TV, movie, and on-demand data from around the world. Our data powers TV schedules, enhances video search and discovery, and helps audiences find and enjoy their favorite shows. We provide detailed information on movies, TV shows, live sports events, music, and more. Gracenote is the only provider of such descriptive data on a global scale.
We are looking for a Schedule Editor for the German market who has a keen interest in sports and proficiency in the German language.
ROLE:
The Schedule Editor is a full-time, Monday to Friday position responsible for processing and curating television schedules, specifically related to sports content. You will work with electronic programming guides (EPG) provided by different content providers and ensure accurate and timely updates. As a Schedule Editor, you will also contribute to maintaining and improving the Gracenote database that powers our consumer product and enhances the end-user experience. You will report to the Ingest Metadata Production Team Leaders, who oversee daily operations in the market.
The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently process a high volume of entertainment metadata. You should be able to manipulate and enhance this data to ensure its quality and usability in the Gracenote database.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Acquire, normalize, and enhance entertainment metadata (television electronic programming guides) from various content providers.
* Process and manipulate data to correctly ingest it into our in-house software tools.
* Pay close attention to detail to create high-quality, accurate, and evergreen content in the Gracenote database.
* Investigate and confirm questionable programming content when necessary.
* Conduct quality assurance checks through systematic reports.
* Analyze and suggest process improvements.
* Contribute to team and department projects as assigned.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
* Proficient knowledge of the German language (B2 level or higher).
* Keen interest and broad sports knowledge is a real benefit for this position.
* Experience using computer software and databases, with good keyboarding skills.
* Data entry experience using content management systems is beneficial.
* Experience or willingness to work in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work accurately under deadlines.
* Good knowledge of television, movies, and VOD programming is a plus, especially in the market language.
